This is a basic rifle course that provides the student with an overview of rifles of various actions, their uses, operation, safe handling, and basic marksmanship.
To purchase this course, you must first register at Student Courses | Firearm Training (nra.org). Once you have registered, return here, enter the course code in the box, and add it to your cart.
Students will be required to provide their own firearm (in serviceable condition) and ammunition for this course. Factory ammunition is recommended. Although any common rifle caliber (.22 LR, .223 Remington, .308 WIN, .30-06, etc.) is acceptable, .22 Caliber rifles are preferred for this basic course. Pistol caliber carbines are also acceptable.
Additional Required equipment:
- Ear protection (preferably amplified with ENR)
- Eye protection
- Hat
